The line 'On the bat's back I do fly' is taken from William Shakespeare's play 'The Tempest.' In this line, the character Ariel is expressing their ability to travel and move freely, even on the back of a bat. It adds to the fantastical and otherworldly elements present in the text, showcasing Ariel's magical powers and their ability to navigate unconventional means of transportation. And if I possessed Ariel's powers, I would prefer a crow over a bat.
